Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsible for successfully delivering on the company’s global supply planning and logistics strategy.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Hong Kong and China teams and identify opportunities to improve on processes, lead times and costs.
- Plan, develop and implement organisation policies, goals and objectives. Outline and cascade policy guideline, operation manuals and operations changes.
- Pro-actively communicate with all stakeholders the status of planning activities to ensure appropriate capacity is available at vendors to fulfill demand.
- Manage supply planning cycle, establish scenarios for risk mitigation and be the key point of contact for any escalations and seek solutions to the benefit of all parties involved.
- Regularly review and audit shipment data and reports to monitor progress.
- Define, implement and lead programs to build trusting relationships with partners and support them in building capability.
- Be the approver for key logistics related decisions including resolving any cross region/country logistics related issues and ensuring KPI’s are identified, measured and met.
- Identify talent to support both short- and long-term targets; develop and nurture a strong, collaborative and inclusive culture of equality within a cross cultural organisation.
The Candidate
- University Degree qualification and min. 12 years’ relevant regional working experience in supply chain management with at least 8 years at managerial level.
- Experience in consumer goods and/or retail industry, or a related field is desirable.
- Strategic with a global mind, able to collaborate with partners from various background and cultures.
- Proven leader who is capable of inspiring the team to fulfil company’s strategy and aspiration.
- Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated problem solver.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Familiar with import/export process and customs procedures in global sourcing plants.
- Experience in process improvement and change management projects.
- Willing to travel (up to 30%).
