Key Responsibilities
HR Operations (70%)
- Direct core HR functions and day-to-day HR operations. Support and mentor managers of the respective HR Services such as, talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, total rewards and HR projects.
- Take full ownership to design, refine and implement HR policies and programs in the territory.
- Adopt a business partner role and proactively interact with business leaders to offer HR expertise and professional advice.
- Elevate the image of HR by cultivating partnerships with the business leaders and improving HR service delivery.
- Take on a proactive leadership role and motivate HR department managers.
- Keep up-to-date on the territory's labour laws. Modify and implement HR programs and policies in line with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
- Drive organisational development. Communicate company culture and promote a collaborative culture to achieve participative attitude, high quality and performance at work.
- Implement global and regional HR initiatives.
HR Strategies (25%)
- Partner with the senior leadership to design and deliver talent planning activities, develop a sustainable manpower planning program to support organisational growth and transformation.
- Refine and implement a talent retention and career development plan, build employee loyalty through active engagement and communications.
- Participate in organisational transformation. Anticipate potential HR challenges and propose appropriate interventions.
- Support the management in the short-term business expansion plan. Spearhead units’ integration process and ensure harmonization of total reward programs across the organisation.
Corporate HR (5%)
- A member of the Area HR Management team, participate in high level HR strategic meetings, share industry best practices and constantly thrive to achieve greater results.
The Candidate
- To secure this position successfully, you should have at least 12-15 years’ experience of HR Generalist consulting and/or HR Business Partnering. Relevant retail/FMCG/Hospitality industry experience would be ideal, and previous experience working in Macau would be an advantage.
- We are looking for a hands-on HR Director who has experience in business expansion environments, who is versatile and capable of managing global complexity.
- It is important that you are someone who can be a strong stakeholder manager, someone who is a creative problem solver.
- An effective functional head who has the experience in managing a staff strength of no less than 800. Your expertise in HR project management, organisational transformation and change management will be fully utilised in this role. You will need to be a leader by example and engage your team.
- You should ideally have the ambition to aim for a bigger and more international career outside of Macau in the future.
