Key Responsibilities
- Key areas of focus include organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of front desk, bell and concierge staff to maximize revenue and profit while attaining optimal guest satisfaction.
- Also responsible for planning, organizing and executing all arrangements for the hotels VIP’s, guests' requests and concerns and accommodating groups to ensure guests are satisfied and provide repeat business.
- Supervise departmental trainers in creating and delivering training programs to upkeep service standards and ensure continuous service improvement.
- Keep up-to-date on hospitality market trends and work with F&B/Rooms teams to source and create personalized amenities for VIP guests.
- Ensure all guest information and records are accurately and confidentially maintained.
- Develop long term relationships with guests and personally greet them on arrival/departure and frequently verify that guests, especially VIPs, are receiving the best possible service during their stay.
- Manage VIP F&B and amenities budget.
The Candidate
- College degree preferred or equivalent training/experience in hospitality management.
- Understanding of financial figures and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach, mentor, train and develop staff.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Working knowledge of various hotel operating systems.
- 5 years’ experience in Front Office & Concierge operations in a busy luxury city hotel.
- Languages: English and at least 1 other European language.
