• This is a senior leadership role (a member of the Executive Committee) reporting to the hotel General Manager.
• Oversee the entire Engineering and Maintenance team responsible for all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including and not limited to, structural building maintenance, fire and life safety systems, plumbing, refrigeration equipment, kitchen appliances, HVAC, pool equipment, lighting, laundry equipment, painting, carpentry, recycling and electricals.
• Accountable for managing the budget and capex, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
• Develop and implement department strategies that deliver products and services that meet and exceed the needs and expectations of guests and employees.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Lead the emergency response team for all facility issues.
• Coach engineering leadership team and manage controllable expenses (e.g., wages, heat, light and power, water consumption, tools and equipment, grounds keeping supplies, uniforms, vendors, service agreements, inventory, etc.).
• Organize training regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines for co-workers and subordinates.
• Administer all service contracts with external vendors and suppliers.
• Address potential areas of concern and proposing solutions to General Manager and hotel owner in a proactive manner.

• At least 10 years work experience in a similar managerial capacity in Hong Kong and/or Asia, in a luxury hotel or serviced residence no fewer than 400 rooms.
• Advanced knowledge in building management and engineering; possess a positive attitude and strong leadership skills; ability to communicate and influence and committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
• Pre-opening and/or large-scale renovation project management experience required.
• Bachelor of Science, Diploma or college degree in Electrical or Civil engineering preferred.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain all government required licenses, certificates or permits.
