Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading the team in a results-oriented, creative, targeted approach to marketing and selling the resort accommodations, meeting and event spaces, on-site food & beverage and a range of recreational and entertainment offerings.
  • Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and activities, such as, interact with clients and the media, direct solicitation efforts, secure business, prepare and present performance reports and manage all financial aspects of the operation etc.
  • Partner with the Revenue Management team to determine pricing strategies and space utilisation policy, develop rates, deploy competitive data strategies, conduct demand analysis and manage market mix.
  • Conduct/attend daily business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Overall accountable for the day-to-day effectiveness of the sales force.  Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members and ensure succession/career development guidelines are followed and adhered to.
The Candidate
  • 8-10 years hotel/resort sales & marketing management experience. Leadership experience in a similar capacity at a luxury destination resort is preferred.
  •  Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism Marketing or a relevant major.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sales negotiation, budgeting, marketing plan development, digital marketing, social media, event management, CRM, tour and travel distribution, and revenue management etc.
  • Previous experience developing and successfully executing budgetary/financial requirements and marketing/sales strategies.
  • Ability to proactively envision, create and implement new strategic ideas to drive sales and revenues.
  • Fluent in English (read/write/speak).
