• Provide insight and expertise on all regional tax and compliance matters to ensure that the business complies with all legal legislation, responses to changes in the regional tax environment and US Sarbannes Oxley regulations.
• Drive the regional tax strategy, align compliance processes in the regional markets, and provide hedging recommendations to mitigate foreign exchange risk across the Asia Pacific markets.
• Proactive interaction with regional finance team, US direct tax, indirect tax, treasury and compliance teams, as well as external advisors and internal audit team. Provide guidance, training, updates and recommendations to key stakeholders on projects.
• Drive long-term planning to identify opportunities for tax efficiency, response to future changes in the tax landscape, and incorporating tax at the planning stage of new project implementation.
• Respond to government tax queries, internal audit queries, transfer pricing reviews, and coordination of country by country reporting at a regional level. Engagement with local finance teams and external advisors.
• Day-to-day review of FX rates of APAC countries, and review of drivers of change to support decision making process for hedging decisions. Work with global treasury team to centralise cash balance in parent company, and find efficiencies in banking operation.
• Work with corporate compliance and internal audit teams to ensure standard application of SOX compliance across APAC countries, and adherence to global framework.
• Implementation of global initiatives and support of wider Asia Pacific projects.

• 6-10 years in financial management or accounting experience with strong financial background in tax; treasury or compliance experience;  direct work experience in the Consumer Goods industry is an advantage.
• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent.
• Sound judgement, financial controls, efficient execution and analysis experience.
• High agility to take up new task and extra accountability delegated by management.
• Big 4 accounting firm background with strong technical knowledge.
• Excellent communicator and experience of business partnering with commercial teams.
• Working across different cultures and geographies.
• Fluent in English language communication is a must.
