• Develop and maintain the project budget and cost management system in SAP.
• Establish budgetary control processes, systems and documentation for assigned project(s).
• Prepare forecasts, cost trend reports and monitor cost and commitment to budget and forecast across all stages of the project life cycle.
• Alert and report deviations, underruns and overruns to PM Leader(s).
• Co-ordinate information supplied by estimating, procurement, construction, planning and engineering for cost projections.
• Analysis of data to establish the variances in initial estimates and final project costs, identify trends, risks and mitigation .
• Support progress claim assessments, pricing schedule developments, tender evaluations, contractor change assessments and contract financial close out.
• Maintain relationships between estimating, planning and procurement to assure information flow and awareness of all aspects of project controls.
• Assist in HSE audits of contractors and monitor conformance to Health and Safety plans.
• Interface with external work parties and participating in internal cost review sessions to create robust forecast and project cost outcome reporting.
• Report to Regional Project Finance Director.

• Tertiary education in Engineering, Accounting or Finance advantageous, must have at least 5 years of cost control experience working within large engineering/building/infrastructure projects in Asia.
• Knowledge of industry cost control and project management techniques.
• Experience in controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ability to work with and perform analysis on significant volume of data from varying sources.
• Good level of experience in using cost control systems and tools.
• Experience in SAP financial reports is desirable and project planning tools (e.g. MS Project).
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
