Key Responsibilities
Pre-Opening stage
- Provide leadership and oversight on all projects end to end, including projecting timelines and critical paths, budgets and operating plans in collaboration with the owner’s Hospitality Committee.
- Identify and propel product, service and guest experience enhancements initiatives through business judgment and analytical findings.
- Formulate department-level strategic objectives and operation processes.
- Establish staffing requirements and support in recruiting, selecting, hiring, training and developing of the pre-opening team.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Hospitality Committee on all project and pre-opening plan updates.
Post-Opening stage
- Drive success across all operational and commercial aspects, delivering against profitability and market share goals.
- Develop hotel-wide strategies, long-term and short-term plans, budgets and financial forecasts, subsequently lead the Executive Committee in their implementation.
- Represent the hotel in negotiating and maintaining robust relationships with key business partners, customers and employees.
- Partake in community affairs to influence the growth and development of the hotel’s values and positive market image.
- Keep abreast of political, social and economic impact, as well as market, competitive intelligence and any other factors of relevance to the hotel.
The Candidate
- Accomplished, dynamic and savvy business leader with a track record in the hospitality industry, experience in hotel complex construction, pre-opening planning & operations and launching of new brands, concepts and facilities.
- Experience building and leading a hotel executive team as well as keeping an overall brand vision to ensure an excellent entrance into the global market.
- Budget development and investment management skills, ability to track capital and operational expenditures as well as identify and set priorities for funding.
- Previous capacity as a property developer, owner's rep and/or hotel GM in a 5-star city hotel or mix-used development in Asia.
- Degree in Finance, Hospitality, Business or related fields.
- English and Chinese language proficiency.
