Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Technical Services team ensuring maximum safety levels are maintained for all attractions, buildings and general park areas. Ensure inventory control standards are appropriate.
- Prepare and manage annual maintenance budget and support GM in the preparation of the capital plan.
- Review ongoing service contracts, manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors.
- Oversee installation and maintenance of all equipment related to HVAC, Water treatment, Fire Safety etc.
- Implement and report on OHS Key Performance Indicators across area of responsibility.
- Ensure resort facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
- Monitor energy and water management programs; advise on energy efficiency and cost-effective use of utilities.
- Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of staff including maintenance, grounds, quality assurance and custodial workers, ensure full compliance of departmental and resort policies and procedures at all times.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent issues and dealing with the consequences.
- Promote proactive hazard / near miss reporting.
- Work with Training Manager in developing and implementing relevant training programs for staff.
The Candidate
- Pre-opening experience an advantage.
- Min. 10 years of leadership experience in a similar position in a hotel, resort, entertainment facility or theme park.
- Strong financial management capabilities.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Civil engineering, qualifications in building services, facilities management or related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly organised and good time management skills.
- Skills, knowledge and experience in construction and maintenance activities including costing, scheduling, quality control and contractor documentation.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple large-scale building and facilities maintenance projects.
- Experience in Public Liability and personal injury claims, crisis management.
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety and Emergency Response policies and procedures.
- Experience managing a team of no less than 100 staff.
- Work experience in China or Asia required.
- Language skills: English and Chinese Mandarin.
